Running cars assessed individually

  • No obligation to sell

Get an estimate and decide after inspection.

  • Final price agreed after inspection

We confirm the offer once we have seen the car.

  • Payment before collection

Once you're happy with the final offer, we complete payment first.

Your car does not need to be perfect.

We consider running cars of different ages and mileages. Minor wear or known faults do not automatically rule out a sale. Tell us about them so we can assess your vehicle.

  • Everyday cars

Family cars, hatchbacks, saloons and more.

  • Older running cars

We consider older vehicles of all makes and models.

  • High-mileage cars

Higher mileages can still be suitable.

  • Second cars you no longer need

Spare or rarely used cars are welcome.

Starts and drives does not automatically mean roadworthy. Tell us about MOT status, faults and warning lights.

What shapes your final offer?

We take a number of factors into account when assessing your running car.

  • Make & model

Different vehicles have different demand and values.

  • Age & mileage

Older cars and higher mileages can affect value but may still be suitable.

  • Mechanical condition

Overall condition, known faults and how well the car runs.

  • Bodywork & interior

Wear and tear, damage and the general condition inside and out.

  • Service history

Available service records can help, but are not always essential.

  • Keys & documents

Having the keys and correct documents helps a smoother process.

Your estimate may go up, down or stay the same after inspection. We explain any change before you decide.

A simpler alternative to selling privately.

We take the hassle out of the process and let you hand the car over once.

  • Fewer enquiries to manage

No time-wasting messages or haggling with multiple buyers.

  • No repeated buyer viewings

One inspection with our team instead of arranging multiple viewings.

  • Collection arranged with you

We come to an agreed location in Kent, making it convenient and straightforward.

Before you hand over the keys.

A few simple things to have ready to help the process run smoothly.

  • Photo ID

A current driving licence or passport.

  • V5C and service records

Your logbook (V5C) and any service history if available.

  • Main and spare keys

    All keys for the vehicle.

  • Bank details

Your UK bank account details for payment.

  • Clear vehicle access

Let us know about any gates, single track roads or parking restrictions.

  • Remove personal belongings

Check for personal items before collection.

Missing your V5C?

We can still buy your vehicle, but we'll need to carry out additional identity, address and right-to-sell checks. A replacement V5C may be required in some cases.

Outstanding finance?

If your vehicle has outstanding finance, we'll need the current settlement figure and to agree settlement arrangements first. Any shortfall will need to be resolved before the sale can go ahead.

Keep a private plate?

If you want to keep a private number plate, you'll need to arrange retention with the DVLA before selling your vehicle.

Questions about selling a running car.

Do you only buy scrap cars?

No. We also consider usable running cars. Each vehicle is assessed individually.

Can I sell a high-mileage car?

Yes. Higher-mileage cars can still be suitable. Tell us the mileage and condition and we will take both into account.

Should I repair minor faults first?

You do not need to. Tell us about any known faults so the estimate reflects them, and we assess the car as it is.

Is the online estimate final?

No. The estimate is an initial guide. We agree the final price after inspection and explain any change before you decide.

Do I need to bring the car to you?

No. We visit an agreed location in Kent to inspect and collect the vehicle. Standard collection is free within our confirmed service area.

When will I be paid?

Payment is made by UK bank transfer at handover, after the final price is agreed. You confirm receipt before we remove the vehicle.
