A little preparation goes a long way

Having a few things ready can help make the process quicker and smoother.

  • Photo ID

A current driving licence or passport.

  • V5C and service records

Your logbook (V5C) and any service history if available.

  • Main and spare keys

    All keys for the vehicle.

  • Bank details

Your UK bank account details for payment.

  • Clear vehicle access

Let us know about any gates, single track roads or parking restrictions.

  • Remove personal belongings

Check for personal items before collection.

Missing your V5C?

We can still buy your vehicle, but we'll need to carry out additional identity, address and right-to-sell checks. A replacement V5C may be required in some cases.

Outstanding finance?

If your vehicle has outstanding finance, we'll need the current settlement figure and to agree settlement arrangements first. Any shortfall will need to be resolved before the sale can go ahead.

Keep a private plate?

If you want to keep a private number plate, you'll need to arrange retention with the DVLA before selling your vehicle.

View all FAQs
Is the online estimate final?

No. The online estimate is an initial guide price based on the details you provide. The final price is agreed after we inspect your vehicle in person.

Can I reject the final offer?

Yes. There's no obligation to proceed and no inspection fee. If you're not happy with the final price, you can walk away.

Do you buy non-running cars?

Yes. We buy non-runners, MOT failures and accident damaged vehicles. We collect with our own recovery truck, so the car does not need to be driveable.

Is collection free?

Standard collection across Kent is free. If you are outside our usual area, we'll agree any additional recovery charge with you in advance.

When will I be paid?

Payment is made by secure UK bank transfer during the appointment. We only collect your vehicle once the payment has cleared and you've confirmed receipt.

Can I sell without a V5C?

Usually yes, but we'll need to carry out extra identity, address and right-to-sell checks. In some cases a replacement V5C is required.

What if my car has finance?

Let us know up front. We'll need the current settlement figure and to agree how the finance is settled before the sale can complete.

Can I change my appointment?

Yes. Call or email us as soon as you can and we'll rearrange for the next available slot that suits you.
